The Pembroke Regional Hospital is the only hospital in Pembroke, and provides a full range of health services to both inpatient and ambulatory patients from Pembroke, Petawawa and Renfrew County. Pembroke Regional Hospital, located 150 km north of Ottawa, is a 180 bed regional acute care hospital offering a variety of acute and ambulatory care services including medicine, surgery, maternal and child care, regional mental health care, regional rehabilitation, emergency and intensive care. Our state of the art digital diagnostic imaging department offers a variety of diagnostic modalities including CT and nuclear medicine. In total, the Pembroke Regional Hospital has 180 beds; 71 Medical, 17 Surgical, 10 Intensive Care, 19 Acute Mental Health, 10 Obstetric (Adults), 7 Pediatric, 22 Rehabilitation, 22 Complex Continuing Care, and 2 Bassinets. In addition to these services, the Celebrating Recent Growth and Development Upgraded Obstetrics Area With 5 Birthing Suites (Completed July, 2007) Nuclear Medicine (Service Commenced April, 2007) Ambulatory Surgical Suites (Opened June, 2006) William H. Higginson Satellite Dialysis Unit ( Opened May, 2006) $46 Million Expansion ( Completed in 2005), including:
19 Bed Acute Mental Health Unit 10 Bed Intensive Care Unit 22 Bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit & Outpatient Rehab Department 40 Bed Medical Unit New Emergency Department New Diagnostic Imaging Department Including CT New Outpatient Rehabilitation Area Retirement Homes There are five retirement residences in Pembroke, as well as many private boarding homes.
